We were delighted to receive numerous awards for our cobnuts at the 2018 National Fruit Show.
Although, previous winners, we were beaten to the top spot this year in the ‘kentish cobnut’ variety by the excellent Dr Meg Game. Meg has a beautiful cobnut plat over towards Ightham in Kent. Our Kentish Cobnuts received a green rosette and we are very proud to have received this acknowledgment.
Our Kent cobnuts received 89/100 and received high marks on ‘Fullness of Kernel and internal condition’.
We were very fortunate in the ‘Any Other Variety’ Class and Category with our entries grabbing all of the top 3 positions. Our Ennis Cobnuts came 1st, our Gunslebert Cobnuts came 2nd and our special entry of Red Filbert achieved 3rd.
