Our fresh Green/ Golden Cobnuts are widely renowned for their full flavour, they are perfect in dishes or simply on their own. Cobnuts have a nationally recognised nutritional profile and are said to be fantastic sources of protein:
Cobnut kernels typically contain 12%-17% protein by dry weight, and about 10%-15% fibre. Cobnuts are very rich in vitamin E and in calcium, typically containing about 21mg and 141mg per 100g kernel (dry weight) respectively. They provide about 0.4mg and 0.55mg of vitamins B1 and B6 respectively per 100g dry weight.
Our Cobnuts are available in weights ranging from 500g to 50kg and are harvested between August and October, as such orders outside that time frame are considered pre-orders and will be delivered as soon as our Cobnuts are ready to eat.

Roasted Cobnuts (60g Pouch) – Dispatched to your door
Enjoy a pack of our roasted cobnuts as a snack or add them to your baking. Fantastic on their own or with other added flavourings such as salt, salt & herbs, honey, sugar, cinnamon – the possibilities are endless.
We particularly enjoy making our own flavour mixes to enjoy with drinks. Also boosting the nut content of cereal and puddings is another fantastic use. Cobnuts are also high in protein and contain good fats and vitamins.
Our Roasted Cobnuts are available in 60g pouches. When ordering you are ordering multiple 60g pouches.
Kentish Cobnuts are a heritage and specially cultivated variety of hazelnut. At the farm we grow a range of varieties which include Kent, Ennis and Gunslebert. Our roasted cobnuts could use any of these varieties or even be a mix.

Potted Ennis Cobnut Trees – Out of Stock
We now have a number of Ennis Cobnut trees available in 3 Litre pots – We are out of 7 litre Ennis Cobnut trees. These trees are on British grown roots and are suitable for planting most places in the UK.
These are ideal for planting and producing high yielding trees. Many garden centers currently sell seedling trees and these usually yield very few cobnuts. These trees are the same trees that we grow on the farm and if properly maintained should produce a good crop of Kent Cobnuts.
Cobnuts are packed full of vitamins, minerals and fibre. In winter the catkins on the trees brighten up the trees.
Two varieties are deemed preferable for pollination but not essential as common hedge row nut can assist with pollination.
The trees do vary in size and shape but are generally between 30cm and a meter. We cannot guarantee the size of the trees selected for delivery but every care is taken to select a good tree.
On Arrival:
We advise watering the pot and planting promptly into the ground or into a large pot for later planting if required. The pot should have room to allow further root growth. The tree will need a healthy watering over the first few days.
If planting dig a hole twice the size of the pot and tease out the roots.Make sue that the root ball is level and not at an angle. Water regularly and monitor.
The aim after this point will be to manage the growth of branches. These should be allowed to form at least 60cm from the ground.

Dehusked Mixed Variety Cobnuts – New for 2021
Our main cobnut varieties are Kent, Gunslebert, Ennis and Butler but we actually have over 50 different cobnut varieties in our National Collection. Some varieties will come from a single tree while others may be from a row or small block.
We are delighted to now offer the opportunity for a completely mixed bag. No order will be the same and the cobnuts will be very different to each other (some nuts will be very small, some will have more felt / skin around the kernel). We recommend these for those passionate about cobnuts, keen to taste a range of flavours and tastes. If you are new to cobnuts we really recommend trying our main varieties first.
Dehusked cobnuts should be kept cool to prevent the kernel (the bit you eat) excessively drying. A salad draw is an ideal place for storage. These mixed varieties have mixed moisture content so some will be quite dry with smaller kernels while others will be more milky. This is in part because small varieties don’t have much moisture originally and so can be a lot drier (but sometimes also sweeter). Our mixed cobnuts are available in weights ranging from 500g to 3kg.
