The Ennis is a large, round and flavoursome cobnut. When green Ennis Cobnuts have tight green husks. As a nut they can be eaten fresh or used in dishes. They are popular due to their size in comparison to the Kent Cob and the Gunslebert. Ennis Cobnuts are usually in short supply so don’t miss out!
Our Ennis Cobnuts are available in weights ranging from 500g to 3kg and are harvested between October – November, as such orders outside that time frame are considered pre-orders and will be delivered as soon as our Cobnuts are ready to eat.

Tasty Dehusked Kent Cobs – 04/02/21 – Running Low – We have begun to run out of 2020 season dehusked cobnuts. Larger weights are now out of stock. You can order 500g to 3kg here. Below you can join up to a notification list for when these become available again in the Autumn.
Our delicious Dehusked Kent Cobnuts are full of flavour and are perfect in dishes or simply on their own. Dehusked Kent Cobnuts become darker during the season. Cobnuts have a nationally recognised nutritional profile and are said to be fantastic sources of protein:
Cobnut kernels typically contain 12%-17% protein by dry weight, and about 10%-15% fibre. Cobnuts are very rich in vitamin E and in calcium, typically containing about 21mg and 141mg per 100g kernel (dry weight) respectively. They provide about 0.4mg and 0.55mg of vitamins B1 and B6 respectively per 100g dry weight.

Our Dehusked Cobnuts are currently available in weights ranging from 500g to 3 kg and are available after the Green season has finished (around September – October) and when it becomes possible to remove the husks. Please note that dehusked nuts still have a shell.

Enjoy a pack of our roasted cobnuts as a snack or add them to your baking. Fantastic on their own or with other added flavourings such as salt, salt & herbs, honey, sugar, cinnamon – the possibilities are endless.
We particularly enjoy making our own flavour mixes to enjoy with drinks. Also boosting the nut content of cereal and puddings is another fantastic use. Cobnuts are also high in protein and contain good fats and vitamins.
Our Roasted Cobnuts are available in 60g pouches. When ordering you are ordering multiple 60g pouches.
Kentish Cobnuts are a heritage and specially cultivated variety of hazelnut. At the farm we grow a range of varieties which include Kent, Ennis and Gunslebert. Our roasted cobnuts could use any of these varieties or even be a mix.

While every effort has been taken to remove shells some may still remain. Please be aware of this when consuming.
Each pouch weighs 60g. The more pouches you order the better the value. Prices include VAT. Delivery is added at the checkout.
Each pack has been carefully cracked and roasted on our new equipment. We hope to launch larger bulk packets soon and you are welcome to get in touch as we develop our roasting capabilities and techniques.We have just started learning so please feel free to provide feedback.

New for 2020, Butler is a round crunchy cobnut and is a variety of hazelnut originally cultivated in the USA. As a nut they can be eaten fresh or roasted. They are popular due to their size and relatively easy cracking and dehusking.
