| Delivery | *Fresh Fruit Delivery – We currently use APC Overnight Delivery or DPD Next Day. These services operate Monday to Friday in England and Wales and do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday. For customers in Scotland most of the time it is the same service as England and Wales, this is true for Glasgow and Edinburgh but remote areas may take 2 days, Islands and Highlands may have a supplementary charge, we may contact you after your order if this is required or please email for Scottish rates. We allow 1 day processing time and an additional day for delivery. The fruit is only in transit for 1 day from us to you. Example: Order Wednesday for Delivery on Friday. While every possible effort will be made to fulfil this service we cannot be held responsible for problems caused by the courier company. Orders placed on Friday and over the weekend will be processed for a Tuesday dispatch at the latest. Eg. Thursday, Friday, Weekend orders could arrive Tuesday or Wednesday. Orders after 4pm may be moved into the following day. DPD and APC both provide tracking. During preorders we dispatch on harvest in order of received. | Varieties | We can not guarantee which variety you will get due to the fast moving nature of the product. But you are welcome to place a request in your customer comments at the checkout. Our main plum varieties are Jubileum, Opal, Victoria, Majorie, Ferbleu, Top Hit,,Top Taste and Top End. An early plum (Mid July) called Juno is often our first plum and it is smaller. We send our firmer varieties for travel, they are picked and then kept cool within a matter of hours, your plums may need to be left to sweeten. All fruit is different and so images are for display purposes. |

I do not recommend the l;ate plums. My delivery of Marjorie’s seedlings was poor quality – tart & acidic and squishy. Not at all comparable with the Marjorie’s that I once grew.

Dear John, we are sorry you felt a need to leave this review. Based on your previous experiences and previous repeat orders (6 in total) we would assume that the majority of the time we get good quality produce to you. We are sorry you feel that is not the case this time. We hope you can understand that with a natural product we can’t guarantee every order will be perfect and as we would want. Marjorie season was right at the end and you requested these and we fulfilled this request. We should have instead insisted we provide Top Hit or Top End instead, a plum that was firm but just coming into season and perhaps would have been more to your taste. We have had some good feedback on the Majorie plums this year and we are sorry to hear your experience fell short. Via email we have offered a number of options within policy to address this for you.
